No. The ladder describes progression, not prerequisites. If your evidence supports Professional today, apply for Professional today.

What does the panel actually examine?+

Led work, references, and your self-assessment, read against the published Professional criteria: technical judgement, governance, delivery, and the decisions you made when the trade-offs were real.

What does Professional level cost?+

The assessment is £29.99, one-off. If you pass, the Professional annual fee is £199.99 a year. Many employers fund both.

Can my employer pay?+
