For those who shape
the field.

Fellow is the highest level the Institute confers. It recognises sustained, field-level contribution: research, leadership, institution-building, or the mentoring of the next generation. Few hold it, by design.

— Common questions —

Things people ask about Fellow level.

Is Fellow just the next step after Professional?+
Not quite. Professional verifies senior practice; Fellow recognises contribution to the field itself. Many strong Professionals will never apply for Fellow, and that is the point.
Who supports a Fellow application?+
Peers. The dossier includes input from people who can speak to your contribution: collaborators, mentees, and others in the field with standing of their own.
What does Fellow cost?+
The assessment is £29.99, one-off. If conferred, the Fellow annual fee is £299.99 a year.
Can my employer pay?+
Yes. Many employers fund accreditation as professional development, and we work with organisations on cohort enrolment. Point your manager at organisation partnerships.
What happens if I do not pass?+
You receive structured feedback from the panel against the published criteria, and you can apply again once your evidence has moved on. The fee covers one assessment.
