Limitation

Questions

What happens to what we send?

It is used to answer your request and nothing else. It is never used to train, tune or improve the model. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every request and answer is recorded so you can see what was asked and what came back.

Where does the model run?

In the UK. The Legal and Courts model is built, hosted and maintained in the UK by the Institute of AI.

Which guidance does it draw on?

The statute, reported case law, procedure rules and practice directions of England and Wales, and the eligibility rules that govern legal aid. Every answer names the authority it rests on so it can be checked.

How do we access the model?

Access is by request. Tell the Institute of AI which firm, chambers or advice service you work for and what you would use the model for. The Legal and Courts model is available through a secure chat workspace, an API or agents.
