The Institute of AI is now an official GitHub Education partner, through the GitHub Campus Program.
GitHub is where the world builds software. Through this partnership, it is now being built into how we teach, accredit and grow AI talent across the UK and beyond.
What the GitHub Campus Program brings
The GitHub Campus Program gives teaching institutions premium access to GitHub's professional platforms. For the Institute and our learners, that includes:
GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Enterprise Server, GitHub's professional platforms, used by organisations around the world to build and ship software.
Real-world collaboration, with learners working the way professional teams do: shared repositories, code review and version control.
Access for learners and educators across our learning, research and collaboration.
What it means for our learners
Learning AI should mean building with it, using the same tools professionals rely on every day. This partnership brings that closer for everyone who learns with us.
Industry-standard tools. Some of the best tools used by millions of professional developers, built into how our learners work.
Real projects, not just theory. Real code, real repositories and real collaboration, the way modern software is actually built.
A direct path from learning to building. The gap between understanding AI and shipping something with it gets much shorter.
Alongside this, students can apply individually for GitHub's Student Developer Pack, which brings together a wide range of developer tools and offers for learners.
Recognition backed by real practice
Our AI Accreditation gives learners assessed, independent recognition of their AI knowledge and practice, built on our Competency Framework and ongoing CPD.
With GitHub built into how we teach, that recognition sits on top of real work: code written, projects shipped and skills demonstrated with professional tools. It shows employers, universities and collaborators what someone can actually do, not just what they have studied.
Our mission in practice
The Institute of AI exists to make AI work for society at large. That starts with putting professional-grade tools and recognised standards in the hands of the people who will build what comes next.
Bringing GitHub into how we teach means our learners build real things with the same tools used across industry. They leave with both the Accreditation and the practical skills to back it up.
What's next
This is just the start. New hands-on lessons built around GitHub are already on their way, taking learners from first principles to working projects.
Universities, colleges and Organisations interested in working with us on this are invited to get in touch at support@theinstituteofai.co.uk.
