Every AI lesson from the Institute of AI takes its subject from first principles to something you can put to work, and ends in a credential anyone can verify. This guide walks through every screen you will see, from enrolling to the quiz, your score, and the results that stay on your record.
Open any lesson from the AI Lessons library and select the ‘Enrol for free’ button. Enrolling takes one click and opens the lesson straight away. If you are signed out you can still work through the first section as a preview, and creating an account unlocks the rest.
The lesson opens full screen and shows one section at a time. The bar across the top has a segment for every section, and the counter on the right tells you where you are. Move on with the ‘Continue’ button or the right arrow key, and go back with the ‘Back’ button or the left arrow key. Selecting a segment of the bar jumps you straight to that part of the lesson.
Every section builds on the one before it, with key insights, quotes, and pause and think prompts along the way. Nothing is timed, so work at the pace the subject deserves. Before the end, a summary screen draws together the takeaways from the lesson.
The settings icon in the top left corner opens the lesson options. From there you can switch between light and dark mode, select ‘Continue lesson’ to carry on where you left off, or ‘Exit the lesson’ to leave. Your place is not saved, so if you leave part way through you will start again from the beginning.
The final screen of the lesson takes you to the quiz. Its questions are drawn from what the lesson has just covered, shown one at a time, with no time limit. You can also come to the quiz later from the lesson page, and pick up from there.
Each question offers a set of answers, and you choose one before you can move on. If a question catches you out, select ‘Need a hint?’ for a nudge back towards the right part of the lesson. You can go back and change any answer until you submit. On the last screen, select the ‘Submit quiz’ button and confirm, after which your answers are locked in.
Your results open as soon as you submit. They show how many questions you answered correctly, whether you scored enough to pass, and a competency domain breakdown of where you scored strongly and where it is worth going back. Select the ‘Review your answers’ button to go through every question with your answer set alongside the correct one.
Every completed lesson stays on your record. Open My Learning from your IoAI hub and select the ‘View your results’ button on any completed lesson to open the same breakdown again. From there you can retake the quiz whenever you like, and turn on public verification so employers and peers can confirm your result.
Pick a track, enrol for free, and work through a lesson at your own pace. Pass the quiz and your completion is yours to prove.
