— The promise —

Free education, and no one on the other end of it selling.

Most free AI content comes with a catch. It is a taster for a paid course, a lead magnet for a consultancy, or a shop window for a product someone wants you to buy. This page is none of those. It is one place that gathers everything the Institute of AI gives away for free, so you can find the education itself without wading through a sales funnel to reach it.

Two routes run through it. You can learn on your own through Learn AI, IoAI's education platform, or you can take part in AI for All, its public programme for schools, charities and young people. Both are free. Neither is a trial, a preview or a tier that quietly expires. There is nothing to upgrade to, because the education is the product.

If what you want is a structured syllabus, the free AI courses page lays that out as a path from one topic to the next. This page is the wider map: the full spread of free AI education in the UK from IoAI, with a link straight to each piece.

— The free education map —

Two streams of free education, both open, both independent.

One map, two ways in. Follow whichever stream fits you: work through the self-serve material on Learn AI, or join the public programme through AI for All. Every stop is free and links straight to the thing itself.

— Why it's free —

A professional body sets the standard, then puts it within reach.

The Institute of AI exists to set the standard of AI practice, to work to that standard itself, and to put it within reach of everyone else. Free education is that last part, kept deliberately clear of anyone trying to sell you something.

There is nothing to buy on this page, and nobody is selling to you. Independence is the whole point.

IoAI has no vendor affiliations and nothing to resell. Its accreditation independence is absolute, and the same principle runs through everything it publishes. That is why the free material can be plainly useful rather than a soft pitch: there is no product waiting at the end of it, and no reason to bend the education towards one.

Putting good AI education within reach of everyone, whatever your budget or background, is part of what a professional body is for. Learners, schools and charities pay nothing.

— Common questions —

Free AI education in the UK, the common questions.

Is AI education from the Institute of AI really free?+
Yes. Everything mapped on this page is free to use. Learn AI and AI for All carry no charge, no trial timer and no paywall, with nothing to buy and nobody selling to you. A free Member account is optional and only adds conveniences like saving your progress.
What is the difference between free AI education and free AI courses?+
The free AI courses page is a syllabus: a structured path that takes you through topics in order. This page is the wider map of free AI education from IoAI, gathering the lessons, glossary, quick answers, explainers and the AI for All programme in one place, with a direct link to each.
Do I need to buy anything or sit through a sales pitch?+
No. IoAI is an independent professional body with no vendor affiliations and nothing to resell, so the education is not a funnel towards a product. You can read, learn and take part without ever being asked to pay.
Who is this free AI education for?+
Anyone in the UK who wants to understand AI in plain English: newcomers, career switchers and busy professionals through Learn AI, and schools, charities and young people through AI for All. No technical background is assumed.
Where should I start?+
If you are learning on your own, start with the AI lessons on Learn AI, then dip into the glossary and quick answers as you go. If you are a school, charity or supporting a young person, start with AI for All and its events and resources.
