Step two
£49.99a year, and up by grade

Annual membership keeps your accreditation active and your public badge live. The fee scales with your grade, so you pay in proportion to the standing you hold.

— Common questions —

Cost, answered without the small print.

Is the £29.99 assessment fee a one-off?+
Yes. It covers a single assessment against the competency framework. Because accreditation is progression only, you pay it again when you later apply for a higher grade, not on a schedule.
Do I pay both the assessment fee and the membership?+
The assessment fee gets you assessed. The annual membership keeps your accreditation active and your public verification badge live. Once assessed, you renew membership each year to hold the grade.
Why does the fee rise with the level?+
A higher grade carries a broader assessment and a larger CPD commitment, and signals more to employers. The annual fee reflects the standing of the grade, from £49.99 at Student to £299.99 at Fellow.
Are there any hidden costs?+
No. The figures on this page are the figures. Learn, the glossary and the UK AI Readiness Charter are free, and there is nothing to buy to sit an assessment.
What does it cost to accredit an organisation?+
Organisation accreditation is a £99.99 assessment and £499.99 a year, assessed across the five-pillar maturity model. Only Professional and Fellow members can apply on behalf of an organisation.
